Recovery and results

After a buccal fat reduction, you will have small incisions on the inside of each cheek. These incisions heal very quickly and the stitches generally dissolve after 1 to 2 weeks. You will have some facial swelling and need to be on a soft diet for about a week. The swelling will continue to dissipate over time and final results can be appreciated about 6 weeks after the procedure.
