If you’re unhappy with how your nose appears and want to do something about it—without surgery—a non-surgical nose job may be just what you’re looking for. At Austin Face & Body, we are happy to offer this procedure, which saves patients time and money, and gives them a brand new confidence.

What is a non-surgical rhinoplasty?

Many individuals who have areas of concern with their nose choose to have a non-surgical rhinoplasty, otherwise known as a “liquid nose job” or simply “nose filler”. This means that the issues with the nose are improved by injecting dermal fillers such as Juvederm, Radiesse, Restylane, Belotero, and others. Some of the most commonly treated areas of concern with a non-surgical rhinoplasty include:

  • Low nasal bridge
  • Nasal bump
  • Drooping nasal tip
  • Crooked nose
  • Pinched nasal tip
  • Sharp edges
  • Asymmetry
  • Scarring

Benefits of a non-surgical rhinoplasty

A non-surgical nose job is quick, convenient, relatively painless, and achieves significant yet natural looking results that can last up to a year. The procedure also requires only a fraction of the downtime, recovery, and cost of a surgical rhinoplasty. You’ll walk into our office, and leave twenty minutes later with a more contoured, proportional, and more beautiful nose. And if for any reason you aren’t happy with the results, they’re temporary and/or can be dissolved.

How a non-surgical rhinoplasty works

When dermal fillers are injected, they cause the skin to volumize and plump—so when the filler is used around a nasal bump or low bridge, the skin in that area camouflages the asymmetry. Even though filler is technically adding volume, it will actually make your nose appear smaller.

What happens during the procedure?

Before your non-surgical nose job appointment, you’ll have a consultation with us so that we can fully understand your areas of concern and your aesthetic goals. We will also explain step-by-step what will happen, what dermal fillers will be used, and what you can expect.

During the actual treatment, you will receive a local anesthetic (either an injection or a topical cream) to numb the area. The injections will be administered in measured quantities into the targeted areas, and the filler can be sculpted as it’s injected. Patients report very little pain because of the anesthetic, but you may hear a crackling sound during the injections. Treatments take about 15 to 30 minutes, and results are instant.

Recovery and results

One of the biggest advantages to a non-surgical rhinoplasty is the minimal downtime and recovery, especially when compared to a traditional (surgical) rhinoplasty. Patients can expect mild swelling, bruising, tenderness, or redness in the treated areas of the nose. This may last for several days, or less. You shouldn’t have to take any time off from work, school, or social engagements. Results from a non-surgical nose job can last anywhere from 6 to 12 months, depending on the fillers used, and with repeat treatments, results can last even longer.

Am I a candidate?

Individuals who want to improve the appearance of their nose but would prefer to not undergo rhinoplasty surgery typically make excellent candidates for a non-surgical rhinoplasty. However, those who have functional issues with their nose, such as problems breathing, will most likely require surgery like a septoplasty—and those who want more dramatic improvements will probably still need to have surgery performed. If you’re interested a non-surgical nose job, please schedule a consultation with us to see if you’re a good candidate.

Why choose us?

A non-surgical rhinoplasty requires an experienced medical professional to administer the dermal filler injections. The nose can be a very dangerous area for injections if performed by someone who doesn’t understand the structure, cartilage, and bones of the nose. At Austin Face & Body, our team includes only certified experts who know exactly how to inject this delicate area of the face.  To schedule an appointment, please call 512-559-3544 or contact us online
