Why get a non-surgical labiaplasty?

Many women are born with elongated, large, or irregular labia, while others develop this condition with age, or after having children. Not only can this cause emotional stress and low self-esteem due to the appearance; it can also cause women discomfort or irritation when exercising or playing sports, having intercourse, or simply when sitting or wearing tight clothing.

How does AVIVA FemTite work?

AVIVA FemTite uses the same radiofrequency technology as FaceTite and BodyTite: radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis (RFAL). The procedure removes the unwanted tissue through small incisions, then tightens and shrinks the tissue using radiofrequency energy. The RFAL technology is applied both internally and to the skin’s surface to tighten tissues and skin.

What happens during the AVIVA non-surgical labiaplasty procedure?

AVIVA FemTite treatments are done in our office under local anesthesia and take less than 20 minutes. After you have been given the local anesthetic, the doctor will make very small incisions in specific areas of the vagina. Then, very gently and carefully, the device's small probe is inserted into the incisions that were made, where it emits radiofrequency heat energy to both the inside and the outside of the vagina. This causes the tissue inside to contract and shrink and also triggers collagen production. This technology and technique eliminates the need to cut away tissue. The hand-held probe has been designed with an internal temperature sensor inside that ensures temperature control during treatments. Patients usually only require one treatment per area.

Non-surgical labiaplasty recovery

AVIVA FemTite shrinks the tissue instead of excising it, which means that patients recover from this treatment more quickly than they do with traditional surgical labiaplasty. Downtime and recovery will vary from patient to patient, depending on their precise treatment area, but generally, downtime is one to two days. 

Intercourse and any submersion hot water should be avoided for a week. Most patients experience some mild tenderness after their procedure, and the vaginal area will most likely be red, bruised, or swollen. All of these are temporary and should fade within one to three days. Results can be seen immediately after treatment, with optimal results appearing within three to six months. 

Am I a candidate for AVIVA non-surgical labiaplasty?

If you’re interested in AVIVA nonsurgical labiaplasty in Austin, you may be a perfect candidate. Ideal candidates are healthy individuals who are unhappy with the appearance of or discomfort due to their genital area. However, it is important that they have realistic expectations for this procedure. Those who are not good candidates are women who:

  • Are pregnant and nursing
  • Have electronic implants
  • Have a history of skin cancer in the vaginal area
  • Women who have an immunosuppressive disease

Furthermore, if a woman has a severe case of enlarged or elongated labia, we may determine that a surgical labiaplasty is needed to get the best results. We will discuss this more with you during your in-person consultation.
